About Course
Our Year 9 Probability course follows the NESA Mathematics curriculum, focusing on understanding and applying probability concepts in familiar and unfamiliar situations. Students explore sample spaces, events, complementary events, and probability using fractions, decimals and percentages. They learn to calculate and compare theoretical and experimental probabilities and interpret results. Lessons include practical examples, diagrams, problem-solving activities and exam-style questions. Emphasis is placed on mathematical reasoning, communication and accurate interpretation of probability. Students develop the confidence to apply probability skills to real-world and assessment-based problems.
