1. Who can apply to become a tutor?

Any graduate or postgraduate with strong subject knowledge and good communication skills can apply. Prior to teaching, experience is preferred but not mandatory.

2. What subjects can I teach?

Tutors can apply for academic subjects (Class 6–12), comprehensive exams, language learning, coding, or any specialized skill as per the company’s requirements.

3. How do I apply to become a tutor?

You can fill out the online tutor application form on our website. After submission, shortlisted candidates will be contacted for a demo session and verification.

4. What is the selection process?

The selection process generally includes:

  • Application screening
  • Subject proficiency test (if applicable)
  • Demo class evaluation
  • Document verification

5. What documents are required?

  • Government ID proof
  • Educational certificates
  • Bank details for payment
  • Updated resume
  • Recent photograph

6. Do I need prior teaching experience?

No, prior experience is not compulsory. However, previous teaching or tutoring experience gives you an advantage.

7. What is the class format?

Classes may be live online, pre-recorded, or hybrid, depending on the course. Tutors will be informed of the format during onboarding.

8. What is the expected time commitment?

Tutors can choose part-time or full-time schedules. The number of hours depends on the batch size, subject, and type of classes assigned.

9. How much can I earn as a tutor?

Earnings depend on multiple factors such as experience, class hours, subject demand, and performance. Compensation details will be shared during the onboarding stage.

10. Is there a contract or agreement?

Yes. Tutors are required to sign a service agreement outlining roles, responsibilities, compensation, code of conduct, and confidentiality terms.

11. Can I teach more than one subject?

Yes, if you meet the qualification requirements and clear the evaluation for each subject.

12. How are payments made?

Payments are usually made monthly through online / bank transfer. Payment summary and session logs will be accessible on the tutor dashboard.

13. Do tutors receive training?

Yes, we provide training on teaching tools, student engagement, and platform usage before you begin your sessions.

14. What support is provided during classes?

Technical support, academic coordinators, and student management teams are available to assist tutors as needed.

15. Can I work from anywhere?

Yes. As long as you have a stable internet connection, a laptop, and a quiet teaching environment, you can teach from any location.

16. What is the minimum technical requirement?

  • Laptop or desktop with webcam
  • Stable high-speed internet
  • Headset with microphone
  • Digital writing pad (recommended for mathematics/science tutors)

17. How do I track my classes and payments?

All class schedules, attendance, payments, and performance metrics are available in the tutor dashboard.

18. What is the batch size?

Batch size may vary depending on the course. It can range from 1-on-1 sessions to group classes of 10–30 students.

19. What if I need to reschedule a class?

Tutors must inform the academic coordinator at least 24 hours in advance. Emergency cases are handled on priority.

20. How do I contact support?

You can contact the tutor support team via email or through the help section in your dashboard.

Points must be considered while submitting the demo video:

 
  1. Objective of the Video:

    At the beginning of the lesson, the teacher should emphasize on the objective of the lesson i.e. what is going to be taught in the class, its importance, practicability of the lesson in our day-to-day life to maintain the interest of the student.

  2. Duration of each lesson:

    Each demo video lesson should not be more than 04 minutes of duration. Only one lesson/topic must be considered while recording the video.

  3. Recording format/quality:

    Must be recorded in mp4 format. The video lessons must be recorded with a high-definition video camera or mobile camera with proper use of tripod and lapel mic for better picture and sound quality.

  4. Language considered:

    Mix of English and Punjabi only. No other language will be admissible.

  5. Video editing and quality:

    Teachers can send the videos either in raw or in edited format. Editing (optional) can be possible with OBS video editing software (easily available online without any cost). Screen recording software with low quality video will not be entertained. Video having clear presenter visibility will be given preference. No background sound like fan noise, surrounding noises etc admissible in the video.

  6. Video presentation mode:

    A smart board / graphic tablet will be preferred medium to make the video more presentable. The production value of the content will be considered while deciding the outcome of the video. The teacher can use laptop/desktop screen as background screen in case of non- availability of interactive board.

  7. Easy instruction language:

    The mode of instruction should be easy to understand and the language used to describe the meaning and situation should be in mix of both Punjabi and English languages only. The sound and pronunciation should be explained with expressions. Examples always facilitate the process of understanding. Creative teaching is a welcome step and teachers are open to innovative ideas & experiment.

  8. Use of transcript(optional):

    The presenter is advice to use teleprompter/autocue with a defined script. The same will be used as the transcript for the video that will run parallel to the content.
