Our Stage 5 Physics online program is designed for NSW students in Years 9–10, offering a complete and structured journey through the syllabus with 24 engaging lessons.
Physics
In Physics, students begin with the study of Energy, exploring its different forms, transformations, and conservation, while learning to calculate kinetic and potential energy, measure heat and sound, and apply concepts of work, power, and efficiency to real‑world machines and appliances. Lessons also cover renewable and non‑renewable sources, household and transport energy, and culminate in a practical energy investigation.
The second Physics unit focuses on Waves and Motion, introducing mechanical and electromagnetic waves, their properties, and behaviors such as reflection, refraction, diffraction, and interference. Students then move into motion studies, calculating speed, velocity, and acceleration, and applying Newton’s three laws of motion through demonstrations and experiments. Applications in communication technologies and seismic waves ensure relevance to everyday life, with the unit concluding in a motion investigation.
