About Course
Year 8 Stage 4 Mathematics – Full-Year Course
Our Year 8 Stage 4 Mathematics course builds on the foundations developed in Year 7 and takes students towards more advanced mathematical thinking, problem-solving and reasoning. The course provides comprehensive coverage of key Stage 4 concepts while strengthening students’ fluency and confidence across number, algebra, rates, graphs, measurement, geometry, transformations, statistics and probability.
Throughout the year, students progress from core skills to more challenging applications through clear explanations, worked examples, guided practice and structured problem-solving. Emphasis is placed on making connections between different areas of mathematics and applying concepts to practical and real-world situations.
Course Areas
-
Number, Fractions, Decimals & Percentages – Strengthen numerical fluency and develop confidence with integers, fractions, decimals, percentages, calculations and estimation.
-
